Platform

Instruction

These activities have been created by the Equalley project partnership, are intended to work on street harassment and gender norms and roles themes and are to be carried out by participants aged between 12-16 years old.
The EquAlley online Platform is an educational tool to be used alone or in group, with or without a teacher/educator’s guide in order to:

  • prevent males from becoming perpetrators of harassment, turning them into allies of women and reducing toxic masculinity;
  • strengthen women’s self-esteem by encouraging them to find ways to deal with and overcome street harassment
  • break gender roles, norms and stereotypes for all (men/women/non-binary)
  • involve and promote exchange among young people
  • qualify educators to teach these issues.

The activities have been subdivided in seven thematic categories plus an additional section concerning demonstrative videos in order to raise awareness concerning street harassment and catcalling.
For each activity you can find the instruction to make if.
More in general, EquAlley project aims to decrease gender inequality and social injustice by reconsidering discriminatory behaviour.
